We are in the second term of academic year 2019-2020 and we plan to raise awareness with students who inhabit the dormitories of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". This year the interest in the project is extremely high, with many students keen to become volunteer ambassadors. During our most recent conversations with the students, it becomes clear that the tips and advices we have given them for saving energy have become part of their daily lives and they are extremely proud to contribute to energy saving. Students already accommodated in rented properties also tend to apply what they have learned in order to reduce energy consumption and reduce their bills through the Student Switch Off+ campaign.
Nevertheless, our team continues to work towards even greater popularity so that we can reach more students. For this purpose, we had set ourselves targets and goals such as meetings with students which were scheduled to take place at the end of April, but with the university being closed down for the time being, we are concentrating on the online activities such as emails and Facebook tips so that we can maintain the level we have reached and build on top of it. Quizzes are being prepared, which will be rolled out in upcoming months to test the knowledge of the SSO followers. We continue to motivate students to be responsible for saving water and energy and not to forget to recycle!
