Staying green this Christmas :)
Our SAVES 2 partners in Ireland are keeping it green this holiday season by producing an online advent calendar. Each day throughout December their followers were given a new tip to ensure they were as sustainable as possible. Below are some of their tips :
Spice it up! Take advantage of the Christmas scented candles by lighting a candle instead of switching on the lights
Movie time: Elf ? Polar express? Home Alone? Whatever your Christmas movie is make sure you cosy up under blanket & skip the heater
Memories not materials: buy or take your friend on an experience such as a play, musical, landmark, trip etc
Borrow don’t buy: Christmas parties, new year’s, why not check out NU Wardrobe to borrow some great pieces or raid your friends wardrobe
Switch It off: Music, dyers, hairstrighters, make sure all appliances are switch off before you head out to the Christmas party!
Keep that lid on when your cooking up a Christmas storm. It speeds up cooking and prevents you from losing 75 % of heat
